"Uh," Faceless hesitated for a moment, thinking about the town he was trying to get away from just before he found the woman sleeping. The fog was almost completely gone now and it seemed that others could go beyond the town's boundaries. Even if he wanted to return, he didn't know the name of the place.
"I think I saw someone headed that way," he mentioned, pointing in the direction he vaguely recalled the red-haired child take off in. "Perhaps there is a town over there."
He could only hope that the strange creature had been headed towards a town, carrying that poor woman's head like that. Hopefully, most of the blood drying on the bottom of his feet would flake off or he would have to wash it off somehow. Maybe there was a river or lake somewhere nearby.
Then again, sometimes lakes smelled worse than old blood, so maybe he would pass on the lake option.
Yuck.

"Perhaps we should head that way, too," Amon suggested, looking around and deciding that if someone had headed that way, then they surely must know where they were going since everything else looked the same. As far as he could tell, there were no trails or paths visible through the woods, not in the part they were, at least. "It's better than standing around all day, right?"
Glancing up at the cat-eared man, Amon was uncomfortable with the idea of holding a conversation the entire trip. Perhaps he would run out of topics, too, and they could travel in silence. There was only one way to find out, of course.
He took the first step, hoping that the patchy kitty would follow him and lose that somewhat lost look that graced his face. It seemed quite pathetic, but Amon wasn't one to judge. There was no hand-holding or leaving a trail of vital foodstuffs so they might possibly find their way back to the attack site.
Personally, he had no interest in returning. The forest was gloomy and uninteresting for now and his stomach was starting to complain about missing breakfast.

"I concur," Faceless sighed before following the child. If the kid hadn't showed up, he probably would have been still staring at the congealing blood. It was easy to be thankful even though he was the older one and, thus supposedly, the more responsible one.
"My name is Faceless Ningyo, but you can call me Faceless." That stupid name the Doc had branded him with always got on his nerves, but there was no telling if he had a
real
name or anything. He couldn't take another name because it just somehow never
worked
. Then again, that red-haired kid had called him 'Mr. Kitty'.
It was the first time anyone had called him something besides his... name the Doc gave him.

"I go by Amon," the boy stated easily enough, hoping that this wasn't the opening to some long discussion about how he had gotten so lost. This was probably the first time that he ever wished that he had someone else present to do the talking for him. His Uncle Nanashi had done a fabulous job while they were in Wonderland and he had hardly had to utter a single syllable except to that foolish 'elf' guy with the very big kitty.
None of his papa's subjects were stupid enough to speak to him or pursue a conversation and there rarely was any need for words when he was with his daddy. His papa was just awesome. His uncles would soon learn and he couldn't wait to meet them.
That's where he was going. He was going to meet all of his uncles and he had a good idea where most of them were. Once he had met all of them, then he would go home and his parents would be so proud of him for finding a way back.
When he grew up, he was going to be just as awesome as his papa and just as brilliant as his daddy.

Curled amongst the gnarled tree branches sat a spider, but he said nothing as the two moved further and further away from him. While the activities that took place just a short while ago were very fascinating, they did not fill his empty belly. None of them had seemed particularly tasty, though, so he allowed them to leave and contented himself with watching for now. The blood was making that rather hard, though.
It surely wouldn't be very appetizing if he waited much longer, so he attached a thread to the branch that supported him, pausing long enough to tuck his braid down the back of his shirt, and carefully crawled down head-first. Lapping at the lukewarm blood, Itsy Bitsy made a face but continued anyway. It was better than nothing, which was the other alternative.
The residents of Hopeless were growing wise and not entering the creepy woods and the... prisoners of Memory never left its borders. If something didn't change soon, he would have to leave the Goddess Woods to find another, more traveled path to set his traps.
He could, perhaps, visit the dark city, but there was something unpleasant about the place aside from being not the best place for webs. Sometimes, he could almost sense another spider demon nearby and meeting another of his kind was nowhere near something he desired. There was always a chance that it could be female and then he would have to flee and flee and always know that there was another who knew of his existence.
The purple-haired demon couldn't chance it, not for anything.
Reaching the end of his tolerance of the jellied substance, Itsy Bitsy climbed back up into the tree and prepared to leave the area. Other things with a much higher tolerance and perhaps a greater hunger would be attracted to the spill and he had no interest in hanging around to watch.
