[Blood Brothers]

Tucked away in the darkness, Shimi remained curled around his love. He could hear the murmur of voices downstairs, but unless they disturbed Kanashi he would leave them be. Said brand new vampire was sleeping like the dead, as expected.

At some point in the next few hours, he would have to seriously look into perching on the ceiling, but for now the bed was fine.

Shimi could hear his youngest brother grumbling to someone, but he couldn't recognize the voice just then. Though it did not matter, he was rather fascinating.

Hours later Kanashi's lips parted reveling a rather sharp canine, not that it was that visible yet but i was still their, his eyes opened slightly to try and focus. A grunt scape the young boys lips as he attempted to get a feel to his surroundings. Moving one of his hands up to cover half of his face he felt the body of a rather large male if he wasn't mistaking.

"wha...."

"Kanashi <3," Shimi murmured in such a way that the little, pink heart at the end could be practically heard. Happy that Kanashi was awake once more, the vampire shifted slightly to do a more thorough check of the fledgling's progress.

The first night would be just about them, no feeding on any but their others. Shimi was really eager to taste Kanashi in all sorts ways.

Kanashi felt the itching sensation in his mouth his teeth were bothering him, he was also hearing rather loud noises. licking his lips he glanced at the blur which had now turned into Shimi, his lips parted slightly. Going through that much pain wasn't his idea of fun, and at that time and moment he couldn't remember exactly what had happened. Somehow he woke up in a dark room on a bed with Shimi.

"Shimi....san..."

he whispered, his voice was a bit shaky, what was wrong with him?

Sobering, Shimi frowned slightly and shifted the shadows in the room so that they blocked out the extra sounds from downstairs. There was no light in the room and he couldn't help the need to wrap his wings around them both a little tighter.

"What do you remember about your most recent past?" He had heard Acid downstairs a little earlier, but their reunion would have to wait a while. The chances of Acid sticking around were high because of Sato, which amused Shimi greatly, but this would most likely cause a conflict because of Kanashi.

Kanashi blinked twitching just slightly a the hold and the lack of sound now. He closed his eyes then, and taking a deep breath he spoke.

"Nothing..."

he whispered.

"Do you remember being in the town of memories? You were wasting away there, allowing its power to drain you of your life. If Triton hadn't found you, I doubt that you'd be on this plane of existence now," Shimi explained gravely as he watched Kanashi. There were many questions he wished to ask his once-lover, but didn't want to agitate the younger vampire.

Kanashi's hand moved from his face down to his lips, he was withering away -- his mind through a blank and soon after he grunted, it was hurting him to remember somehow he just wanted to run back there.

"...Shimi...where is Relic, can I go back?"

He wasn't sure if he was going to irritate the older vampire but he wanted to make sure that Relic stayed in Momorie if at all possible.

"No," Shimi hissed, baring his fangs at the very thought of his vulnerable fledgling going back to the place that nearly claimed him. "I know not where this 'Relic' is, but you are weaker than you have ever been in this moment. I will not let you endanger yourself needlessly."

His wings encased them in a darkness no light could penetrate. The curtains were already shut and the door firmly shut. Nothing would be getting his fledgling and said fledgling would not be going anywhere.

Taking in a soft breath,  he blinked. Realizing that for some odd reason he hadn't taken a breath for a long while now. He blinked a few times then felt the wings pulling him even closer to the older male. If his heart was still alive it would of nearly jumped out of his chest instead it was just the thoughts that were contributing to his bodies emotions.

"Am I already dead, have I gone to hell?"

"You are... not alive any longer, no," Shimi responded softly, not wanting to answer the last question. If his fledgling had asked if this was Hell, what did he really think about Shimi? His victory that he had been so proud and relieved to have managed felt bitter.

Was his loss to his youngest brother so absolute that he could never gain anything back?

Kanashi smiled, for the first time in a while it was a real smile. He sighted softly then spoke again.

"So then, you are hear to protect me from him?"

His voice was nearly childish though it still held that same scorn that was unique to him.

More than a little surprised and suspicious, Shimi gave a little sniff as if disdaining the question, but there was a small seed of hope planted within him from it, as well.

"I'll protect you from everything. You are my fledgling, so it is my natural duty to keep you well," the older vampire responded haughtily, eying the male with two-colored hair carefully.  However, it was worrying that Kanashi would need protection from someone he had been living with before Shimi swept him up. Did something change within the blond man when he left the Town of Dead Memories?

Kanashi held on tightly, he was happy to be with Shimi, least this way he was safe. That's what matter really. Letting out a sigh he held on close to him.

"So I am part of you?"

"Closer than my heart," Shimi murmured, lulled into a sense of peace by his fledgling's clinging. The only one who could possibly contend with Kanashi was Acid, but somehow they weren't quite on the same level. He would have to examine them again later because if Acid was him and now Kanashi was, was one above the other?

No, they were one.

Kanashi wasn't sure what to think of becoming part of Shimi , wait? part of -- A vampire!? it finally had become clear to him what he was. He shivered, then he had to make sure to listen closely if he really wanted to make sure and survive least all the games and book he had ever read revolve around that idea anyway. Now that he was one, he wasn't sure how to take it anymore.

"...Wait, I'm an undead right?"

Jolted by his fledgling's mild panic, Shimi's eyes snapped open from where they had drifted shut. His wings shifted as he fidgeted slightly.

"That is a part of being my fledgling, yes," Shimi acknowledged carefully, knowing how quickly Kanashi could shift moods. At times, he would become violent from seemingly out of nowhere. The reverse, of course, was also true and the boy would be scarily affectionate.

Then again, the later was mostly triggered by cute things.

Kanashi calmed himself down best as he could he wasn't sure as to what he should do. He didn't quite care since his ex was now the one to take care of him. Kanashi closed his eyes.

"Thanks....anyway..."

He finally spoke in a near reproach but with a true hint of gratitude he really didn't know how to say a true thank you but he attempted it damn it Shimi better be happy.

Taken by surprise, Shimi jerked and had to prop himself up on his elbow to look down at Kanashi for a different view. Had his fledgling truly just thanked him? It was practically unheard of for Kanashi to offer thanks. For most it was as if the male with blue and purple hair could not feel, much less express, gratitude.

"You are more than welcome," Shimi murmured, shifting down to clutch his fledgling close once more. With each act and word, Kanashi showed how precious he was to the older vampire.

Not a words escaped from his lips afterwords. Holding on to the older male Kanashi took a soft breath and let it out gently, no it wasn't that it was necessary it was that he felt more 'human' that way, being the only one of the so called Q brothers who was a human he took a bit of pride in it, but somewhere deep inside he understood the reasons for Shimi's doing though he wasn't extremely happy he wasn't angry either. He felt out of place.

Softly nuzzling the top of his fledgling's head, Shimi waited patiently. It was always hard for the older ones to accept that they were dead but not dead. Considering how long Kanashi had actually been alive, it was understandable. The young vampire was actually taking it quite well as far as he could tell.

Kanashi finally fell back into a slumber, for a few hours. Since just as the fourth hour hit he felt his stomach grumble, with that alone he knew off the bat (no pan intended) he was going to be fed by non other then his ex. He wondered if Vampires could even develop a taste for the kind of blood they would like.

Dozing with his fledgling for a while, Shimi hardly realized that his lips were stretched into a smile. It probably looked unnatural, but in reality it was the first real smile that he'd shown in almost his entire existence.

After a while of snuggling with his fledgling, he sensed that it was time for Kanashi to feed again. Tilting his head back, Shimi bared his neck in a disturbingly trusting gesture, considering who he was with and what that being now was.

Bared necks were a sign of submission, an offer, a sign of trust. The older vampire felt both vulnerable and powerful. He had a fledgling and was disturbingly proud of that fact.

Kanshi's eyes glanced towards the male. His neck made his mouth open allowing his fangs to show, he pulled back slightly well part of it was instinct but if he bit down, would it hurt? Shimi more importantly would it hurt him?

He bottled up however much courage he could knowing that if something went wrong Shimi will teach him how to do what he had to, gulping he moved forward his blue eyes turned into a rather strange off scarlet color nearly orange as he bit down on Shimi's neck.

After a short pause, Shimi felt his fledgling's fangs sink into his neck and grunted slightly at the twinge of pain it caused. The first bites were always a bit painful just because of how inexperienced the young ones were. He could fondly remember when Triton and the rest of his brothers were like that. That made him feel a bit better and a lot more patient.
