Pouting even though there was no one around to see, Nanashi slouched down the street listlessly. It was wonderful to be back with Zig, but something was wrong. Their relationship was changed and did not hold the same, glorious fire that it once had.
Now, he was left to wander the streets of the Hunter's Town because Zig was always away on business. As much fun as his old friends were, they could never come close to what Zig was to him.
There was little for him to do and even less to keep him entertained, especially in this town. It was coming to the point where he wondered if he should just leave the place to see if the Hunter noticed.
Probably the only reason why he hadn't left was that he didn't want to send the wrong message to Zig. The vampire loved Zig dearly and wanted to be with him forever and ever, but a bored Nanashi was a dangerous Nanashi.
Maybe if he left a note, he could avoid incorrect assumptions and still get the entertainment he sought. After a bit more thought, he decided that it was worth a try.
With a goal, Nanashi spun on his heel and headed back to their house.
