[Blood Brothers]

Nero sighed, glad to be back at school. As much as he loved his father, the man was obviously out of his league when dealing with his son.

That was ok, though, because mommy would always be there.

Putting his bow to the strings of his violin, the small and dark-haired boy began practicing, sliding up and down the scales effortlessly before moving on to actual songs. His mother played the same instrument and it was she who taught him. When he had informed his father of this, though, there was something off about him.

For some reason, the violin made his father sad and so Nero put off playing it until he was back at school. He would never want to cause either of his parents pain.

His father was... delicate, Nero could tell, but he still loved him. After what his mother told him about Kokoro's past, he sort of thought that he was Neko's apology to Kokoro for causing all that misery, but he didn't mind. He rather liked the man who sired him, who loved and is loved by his mother.

Because of this, Nero wanted to make them both as happy as he could, no matter what. The only one that he could reach at this point, however, was the one who caused so much sadness in his father and so much anger in his mother.

That man... was named Yugure.

Kaskaskia once again was brushing off all the things her half sister was telling her, it wasn't that she truly hated Cancer it was just she was annoying. The worst part about it was her smarts, and how easily she could just sleep through class and somehow still pass. The School took normal kids and kids like them but they were separated by a barrier that wasn't apparent, her mother had given a lot of thought to such school.

"Hear that?"

Kaskaskia blinked, she knew only to people that could make such a beautiful sound around the school. Those to people happened to be her beloved mother and brother. Graving Cancer by the hand she began to run towards the music.

"It's brother, I am 99.9% sure of it!"

Cancer sited, as she was dragged. If it wasn't Kokoro it was Nero she laughed to herself. Kaskaskia was showing a side of her that hardly anyone got to truly see.

Moving on to something more challenging, Nero started in on a song that, while he could only play the violin portion of, was once his father's favorite. It had taken nearly three years before Neko caved in and taught it to him after accidentally mentioning it. Afterward, he had looked forward to playing it for Kokoro.

That was until he actually met his father and saw how fragile the situation was. If he were to allow Kokoro to hear him playing what was once his favorite song, then the older vampire would shatter. Nero didn't want his father to break and so he packed away his favorite pastime and saved it for when he was sure to be alone. Just seeing that expression on his face had almost made Nero want to stop playing, period.

Yes, he was quite happy to be back at school where he could not hurt his mother's precious person.

Kaskaskia was stunned, the music switched now she was only half way sure it was her brother. Her mother used to play the violin in the back of the school often, back then she would see her with a young boy but never did it cross her mind that, that young child was going to be her brother. This made her happy, the memory of such love.

"Kaskakia, there he is..."

Cancer finally spoke softly watching how beautifully the young boy looked playing. Their brother was sure to be a heart breaker.

His mother had said that Kokoro wasn't always like that. Someone had caused that to happen to his father. Just the thought of who had seemingly ruined everything - everything - interrupted his rhythm and he ended the song prematurely with a shriek from his instrument.

Nero sighed deeply, trying to calm down, eyes closed. That was something his mommy had warned him about - his temper.

Because of what she had gone through, Neko had swallowed Fate and become Destiny. The time was coming when Fate would be reborn from Destiny and be his younger sibling. Part of Fate, however, had come out prematurely with him, in him.

What that meant for him was unknown. Would Fate want him, despise him, or just want to rip him apart to get that piece of itself back? All they could do was wait and find out, but in the meantime Nero had to get strong, had to protect Kokoro, and had to grow up - not necessarily in that order.

Cancer's eye closed at the sound of the violin shriking. Kaskakia also stopped running towards him, his aura had change. To be that young and have all that build up inside mad Kaskakia feel unaccomplished. Kaskakia blinked and let go of Cancer running towards Nero and wrapping her arms around im and pulling him into an embrace. From the looks of it they seemed like the perfect siblings Cancer blinked, Kaskaia's purple hair flowing slightly while Nero kept a rather unchanging face. Really something to picture.

There was someone hugging him, Nero idly noticed as he blinked open his eyes. The moment she had touched him was the same that he knew who she was, though. His sisters had been surprisingly predictable to him since he laid eyes on them, not that it was a bad thing in the slightest.

"Good morning, Kia, Cancer," Nero greeted, smiling slightly. His mother was the only one to receive his full smile, but these two came close. Neko had also been the one to point out that he definitely got his smile from his father since they looked nearly identical.

Cancer bowed her head, while Kaskaskia let go of him. Tilting her head she smiled lightly, she couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of her mother. Nero looked at her unlike he looked at anyone else, not even their father.

Cancer knew by the way the child acted, he wasn't quite truly attached to anyone but Neko. Kokoro was perhaps the other but everyone else he seemed to keep them at a distance regardless of how closed he appeared to be to them.

"So, we have something to talk to you about..."

Kaskaskia smiled.

"We will Kidnap mr. Yugure..."

"Kidnap Mr. Yugure?" Nero echoed curiously even as he could feel a bubble of elation inflating in his chest. Was this what his mother meant when she mentioned that his special assignment would start soon?

Glancing between his sisters, he felt his lips curl up sharply as ideas of what to do to that man whirled in his mind.

Cancer glanced at Kaskakia who seemed to be extreamly exited at what was at hand.

"I WANNA DO IT!'

She quickly spat out, her voice eager, Cancer glanced then at their younger sibling she wasn't going to speak just yet.

Digging around in his pocket, Nero pulled several items out and offered them to the two girls. If he could do this job alone, he would and this tactic might allow for such a situation. The man who hurt his father would pay.

"Let's draw straws," Nero insisted, still holding them out and staring at the two challengingly. The anger from earlier was rising at the thought of the creature in question. His father wouldn't be happy at first, but this was revenge.

Cancer knew if she didn't step in both Nero and Kaskakia would start fighting, she needed to do something and quick. Knowing full well that they would never go against their mother she butted in between the two.

"Neko said we should work together. Three of a kind...."

Kaskaskia looked at Cancer then at her little brother.

"Birds of a feather..."

This was not what he wanted, but if mother said so then he would do his best. Then again, Kaskaskia was almost violent enough to suit him, but they may need to tie Cancer up and leave her out of it.

What had Kokoro said when he first introduced him to the two girls? No matter what happened they were his sisters now and forever. Family was everything.

With a nod to the two of them, Nero repeated what his father had said, "now and forever."

They had become separated, he and his sisters, but he had tracked them down to this school with the help of Aunty Neko. Personally, he had never really trusted her, but Quattorrowa had insisted.  Now, he was here, but where were they?

Class wasn't going to start for another thirty minutes, but no one seemed to know where those he sought were. Several giggling girls had insisted that the two he was looking for were always early, even if Kaskaskia whined about it. They had then proceeded to pester him about why he was there when he didn't attend and if he had a significant other.

"I need to speak with my half-sisters and that's none of your business." His voice sounded cold, even to him later when he was considering it. Very few had the right to ask that question, especially not that girl - "Strawberry" or something. What a stupid name.

Getting away from the rest of the gawkers had been his desire after that encounter, but that meant he just ended up outside, up a tree, and no closer to finding either Cancer or Kaskaskia. Out of sight, he waited and watched with his ears down, but there was still no sign of his siblings.

Cancer couldn't hide her excitement she was happy she got them to work together somewhat.

"Weeeh!!!"

Kaskakia blinked looking around before she spoke softly, with an intend to kill.

"Kidnap Mr. Yugure, lock him up real tight
Throw away the key and then
Turn off all the lights"

Personally, Nero didn't think that turning off all the lights would affect the Darkness Element all that much. Perhaps if they stuck Cancer in there with him or directed some high-powered solar lights at him, then he wouldn't be pleased. He couldn't say that he wasn't thinking along the same lines as she was, however.

Opening his mouth to contradict her, he was interrupted as Cancer butted in.

Cancer wasn't quite pleased, turning off the light on him was like giving him Kokoro in a bag. She looked in thought before her lips parted completely unaware of her little brother about to speak.

"First, we're going to set some bait
Inside a nasty trap and wait
When he comes a-sniffing we will
Snap the trap and close the gate"

Kaskakia though quickly changed the tune of what Cancer was ploting

"Wait! I've got a better plan
To catch this big black monster man
Let's pop him in a boiling pot
And when he's done we'll butter him up"

Not wanting to have to wait all day in a tree, Til hopped down with a sigh before heading around to the back of the school. Maybe they were somewhere out back where the other students wouldn't stumble across them. He would definitely not want to have another run-in with those girls.

The person he found on the way there, while familiar, was not one of the ones he was looking for.

"Uncle Matt?" The trick his mind was playing on him that looked identical to his dead host danced around the redhead, beautifully joyous in every way. Then, in under a quarter of a second, the phantom was gone again.

"Kidnap Mr. Yugure," Nero murmured as he considered all the possibilities. There had to be a way to get him on their first try, but they had to think up the perfect trap to do so. If they failed, it was highly likely that Yugure would be prepared for their later attempts.

"Throw him in a box, bury him for ninety years, then see if he talks," the young boy huffed spitefully, knowing that he'd probably end up digging the man up to torture him later, maybe when his powers had been given more time to mature. Yes, that was definitely an idea if they could figure out how to keep him locked up. Maybe the box could have light runes on it, binding him within.

[Q_Q]

Cancer blinked looking at the both of them her eyes half closed before she started again.

"Then Missus Neko Lady
Can take the whole thing over then
She'll be so pleased, I do declare
That she will cook him rare"

"weeeh!"

Kaskaskia smiled brightly and nodded.

"I say that we take a cannon
Aim it at his door and then
Knock three times and when he anwers
Yugure will be no more."

Cancers eyes widen as she shook her head quickly.

"You're so stupid, think now
If we blow him up into smithereens
We may lose some pieces
And Kokoro will beat us black and green"

Matt turned slowly to see who had called him by such name, his eyes widen as he pointed.

"I thought you were dead!"

He exclaimed before shaking his head.

"I thought the both of you had died."

"Kidnap Mr. Yugure," Nero couldn't help but chant, liking the idea the more he thought about it, the more he said it. What else could he do to the man? There were all sorts of things, of course, but what would punish him the most?

"Tie him in a bag, throw him in the ocean then see if he is sad," he proclaimed before chuckling at the idea. Yes, they would see what made him sad. All sorts of brutal tortures were filling up his mind now and he could almost hear the screams now.

It made his mouth water.

Kaskakia and Cancer glanced at each other someone they were able to speak in unison perhaps something that was only meant to happen once or twice in their life time.

"Because Missus Neko Lady is the meanest cat around
If I were on her Top Kill list, I'd get out of town"

Nero almost wanted to scoff, though perhaps they would have to worry about upsetting his mother. That was not something that would ever happen to him, after all.

"She'll be so pleased by our success that she'll reward us too, I bet," he pointed out calmly, so that the girls didn't freak out too much. "Perhaps she'll make her special brew."

What other reward could he want from his mother other than that fantastic creation she saved to make only on super special occasions?

"I'm sorry to say that I am the only child of any of your brothers who has survived as far as I know," Til explained simply, smiling wanly at the changed figure of one of his host's uncles. There was something off about him that Til couldn't figure out, but he supposed that after all this time if he hadn't changed then there was something horribly wrong.

Even Uncle Tenshi had changed if only just in appearance.

Kaskaskia smiled brightly her lips parted.

"We're her little henchmen
And we take our job with pride
We do our best to please her
And stay on her good side"

Cancer's face became a little monotone.

"I wish my cohorts weren't so dumb"

She was indeed the brain of the group, Nero was so close to being there with her. No perhaps his mischievous self was far above her. It seemed that child lived to rid of him.
