We all know well that Japan is known for all the cute stuff they come up with, from clothing to foods amongst other rather interesting things. Recently and in times before the styles of Japan have become incredibly cute, Japan has become it's own anime city (jealous). The streets are full of girls wearing just about anything under the sun (all in good taste, since in their culture you dare not be different from the crowd or so it used to be). Either way one of the styles that is well known and quite often warn is the Lolita style.

The dresses can make you feel like a doll, to top it off they can go from elegant to very innocent and childish. I myself have a Gothic Lolita innocent/oldish looking dress. :3

This little guys however are very expensive, I was lucky enough to buy mine in A-Fest 09. Going to A-Fest 10 if I am lucky, actually even if I am not since I need to go anyway (bought the tickets).

A lot of the girls wearing this kind of dresses also carry a doll with them, sometimes they make the dress to fit the doll. Other times however they make the doll a dress that fits their own. This guys are selling like crazy, many like them because they have a very anime like look to them. There are some however that are made to be anime related. In A-Fest they usually I'm not sure if they'll do it this year, but they hold a show of this dolls, and their parents. The dolls don't come in cheap either.

But they sure are cute to look at!

What day would be complete without having a tea party with cup cakes that you really do not wish to eat?, once this guys came out they shot through the roof! they are so cute, and very tasty as well. it takes a load of patients to get them just right I am sure, though truthfully I'm kind of getting in the mod to attempt to create something like that :3

I myself have a Gothic Lolita dress (yes a brand one) and a blouse (which is also brand).... and they are sooooo expensive! But I am happy that I have bought it.

Also I am (as Neko) knows, doubting weather or not to buy a doll.... To buy or not to buy... that is the question... What do you guys think?

I think your picture got blocked for an add, but that's cool. At least it gives us the way to go and get one our selfs. The doll that blackcat is trying to get is sooooo cute!

@ Samir and everyone else that is interested: When you live in the US it is actually quite easy to find somewhere to buy it (or at least, the shipping costs are cheaper). ^__^" A lot easier than it is when you live in Europe. There are but two shops in the whole of Europe that sell Gothic Lolita brands (one in the Netherlands... thank god for that) and one in Paris. I am not sure if there is an actual shop in the US, but you could always try to order it online. Metamorphose (one of the more expansive brands, but who sell good quality clothing) has an English webshop, where you can order your clothes from: http://www.metamorphose.gr.jp/english/. The brand Innocent World also has an English website http://innocent-w.jp/index_e.html
Ebay is also always worth checking out.

However, if you do not wish to pay the full price for a brand blouse, dress or whatever, you might want to consider buying second-hand blouses etc. Elegant Gothic Lolita's are known for being careful with their stuff, so no need to worry there. Do you not care if it is of a certain brand, but just want to look cute... or do you (like me) have a build which makes it extremely hard to find Gothic Lolita clothing that fits, then I would high recommend the following site http://www.fanplusfriend.com

but yes, Japan has perhaps the cheaper prices if bought there. Problem is I'm way tall = _ =;; and somewhat pull lol. So some things just don't fit least I get them costume made. >.>

Well I'm rather sturdy (to put it like that hahaha)... broad shoulders and a chest do not fit with Japanese clothes ahaha.
Which is why I put fanplusfriend in there. They really make wonderful things.. and the prices really are reasonable You can have a costum made Lolita dress for under 100 dollars .
By the way, they also make cosplay costumes, which look absolutely fantastic .
