It had been a long time since the man who rented the hotels had left, her brother had returned from his mission unharmed which was always a bonus. A smile spread across her lips. Since the man had been missing she helped herself to his garden out back and made plenty of delicious dishes with the tomato and meats from the storage. The smell of the food made her stomach grumble, oh the food was sure to be so good.

"Sis? Almost, I'm..I'm starving"

Her brother spoke softly, she always made a good dish that was if she was feeling up to it. He really wanted to eat soon.

Shimi had this odd feeling that he had forgotten something when he stepped into his apartment building, almost like he had left the stove on or something, even though he most definitely hadn't. His childe was right behind him, hand in his at Shimi's own insistence. There were people upstairs, he could feel, and there was the scent of cooking tomatoes.

That was a smell that he could recognize anywhere.

"We're here, Kanashi. You can open your eyes now," he pointed out calmly, turning to look at the male with two colors in his hair. Every single time he looked at Kanashi, his heart would clench and he would have to resist doing inappropriate things to his fledgling. Honestly, Shimi couldn't comprehend how Neko had the patience to wait until Kokoro was old enough before taking him for all he was worth.

Kanashi's eyes opened slowly to see the apparent complex. Rather the inside of it. His lips parted slightly to let in an unnecessary breath.

"So this is home, Papa?"

The young man asked softly looking around the place with curiosity.

Shimi still couldn't figure out where the boy had gotten the idea that he was "papa" or "father" or whatever. Just hearing it made him want to scream and tear something to pieces, something preferably with bright red hair.

"Yes, this is home," he said shortly, walking further inside and sniffing. That smelled very much like his tomatoes cooking, which was strange since he had never allowed anyone to harvest them. Most of them hadn't been ripe when he left, but this was obviously not the case by now.

Then, he remembered the girl that he met just before the emergency with Kanashi. She and her brother were renting an apartment on the sixth floor and he hadn't had the time to instruct them on anything about the building and gardens.

They were eating his blood tomatoes.

Kanashi's eyes closed his lips parted the sent of blood was unmistakable. But something took him off slightly.

"It's cooking papa..."

he stated though more in a question form then in a direct statement. Rubbing his face he sighted he was still tired reason for him was unknown he couldn't remember crap. He figured the best way to survive right now was to listen to the big, tall, and scary man.

"Someone has harvested my blood tomatoes," Shimi explained, sniffing once and heading for the stairs. Never had he ever fed any of his tomatoes to a human and those who ate them without his permission usually ended up as his next meal. Killing them now would be a little early, even for the standard set by this building and its trappings.

Considering what they were, it was a wonder that any human, save a starving one, would have even the slightest desire to consume one. There was always the chance he could be proven wrong, however unlikely that was.

Humans were, after all, capable of many horrible things.

Slipping his glasses out of the inside pocket of his blazer, he put them on and focused on the feeling of curiosity flooding him before he knocked on the door of the apartment the smell of his blood tomatoes was coming from.

Kamiko stopped where she was, looking around the town. "so we're finally here?" she put her hands behind her head. "what do you think zero?"

Zero took a puff of his cigarette. "i doubt your brother is even here..." he breated a sigh, rubbing the side of his head. "why are we looking for someone we already know is dead?"

Kamiko glared at him from the corner of her eye. she crossed her arms across her chest before closing her eyes. "hes alive, trust me! if you wanna quit, then you can leave!" she said with a nod.

"Your one stubborn girl..." zero walked over to her, placing his hand on her head. "i owe you my life kamiko. i'd follow you anywhere." he said with a smile.

Kamiko's eyes lit up. "then lets get goin!" she grabbed his hand as they headed into town.
