Yugure shook his head in dismay. Could it be true that this boy in front of him was so naive to his surroundings. Was he locked up in a tower before this? Maybe a cage? Who knew...
"Well, for starters it would help you from being left out here all the time. Secondly,", he began to explain as he sat down on the side of the fountain again and looked up at the sky, "...I would say that its important to have some form of shelter so that one could find peace and quite."
He looked over to the boy who was tidying himself up.
"Thirdly, I would say it would help you start a closet to keep clothes. It seems you dont have much of a wardrobe...", he said with a smile.

Hikari thought about what the man was saying, considering each of his points carefully. After a long moment, he tilted his head slightly as to see Yugure from a different angle. It didn't help much.
"What is a... 'closet'?" His ears flicked quickly, disturbed by a small breeze, and his tail shifted against the confines of the coat. Maybe that's why he hadn't had the coat closed all the way. It was giving him this claustrophobic feeling creeping up his spine that was very quickly becoming more bothersome than he could deal with at the moment.

Seeing the boy look over at him cause Yugure to feel pleased. At least he was gaining interest with the boy. At least that was what he hoped for. He looked back at him as he asked yet another naive question.
"A closet? You dont know what...", he paused and reconsidered the ridicule he was about to serve.
Chuckling to himself silently he waited a few minutes before giving the appropriate answer to the anime like boy.
"A closet is used to hold things such as that jacket you are wearing and those shoes that are on your feet."
Yugure blinked a few times, his plum eye glistening in the nightlight.

"A closet holds things," Hikari repeated to himself, looking down at the things he was wearing. If he had a closet to hold these things, then what would he wear? He would be completely naked. Looking back up at the purple man, he posed his next question.
"I thought you said being naked wasn't a good thing amongst others?" The feeling was really getting to him, so he sat down and pulled up the back of his coat so that his tail could swish around freely. Hikari sighed in relief as his problem was solved.

Yugure shook his head. Things were just getting more complicated with each question answered, and each answer replied with a question once more. Standing up, Yugure sighed a slightly annoyed sigh and brushed his hand through his violet hair revealing his bandaged eye and face a little bit more than usual.
"Well Im glad you understand what a closet is used for now, better yet Im glad you know what it is period. As for being naked though, yes it is still considered wrong to walk in the public nude.
PERIOD
...", Yugure stated while being a little more firm towards the end of his explanation.
"There really isn't a good time at all to be nude in public honestly. Lets just keep you clothed for starters okay?"
Yugure looked over to the half human, half cat or dog and smiled roughly. Not really sure why he was still interested in this boy, he wondered what the night would bring if he continued to involve himself with all these strangers. So far he had met a random child, now a random teenager from the looks of it. What was next? Music began to play in the distance more than likely coming from the carnival.
"Why don't we head back towards the carnival? What do you say?", he asked with a smoother smile on his face.

The man's tone of voice made him frown and his ears flattened against his head, tail stiffening and becoming more bushy. Such a reaction was rare, but something about the man was rubbing him the wrong way. His skin felt a little sticky against the coat, yet he had no idea why and supposed it was no good to ask Yugure, either.
"B-but it's loud... over there," Hikari protested, glancing up at the visible structures over the tops of the trees. Even so far away, they could still hear a tinkling melody from one of the closer booths. At least he couldn't still smell the delicious chicken. Just the thought of it made his stomach grumble loudly. The fox-eared boy sighed, rubbing his aching stomach lightly. It didn't help in the slightest. "People stare, too."

"Thats too loud for you huh?", he said throwing a jab of his thumb over his shoulder at the lights, "Well, That I can't help with; but as for people staring at you, That I may be able to change", he added with a nod of his head, "Yes. I will be able to make it seem like you are not even there..."
Yugure stepped closer to the boy placing both hands on his shoulders. Looking into the eyes of the animal boy he smiled.
"All you will feel is a cold shiver. After that you don't have to worry about anybody noticing you. Alright...?"
Yugure lifted an eyebrow while he waited for a response. Not sure if the boy would be willing, he wondered if he should even continue bothering the boy. Still unsure of what he truly wanted with him, Yugure continued to look down at the boy studying his features and glancing back at his ears every so often, and not the ones hidden underneath his hair.

The man's touch was foreign and the strange vibe increased exponentially when they were in contact. It didn't take long for Hikari to shrug off the hands and scuttle backwards, away from Yugure. No one but the Doctor and Faceless had ever touched him and neither of them made him feel like that. Something about the purple-haired man felt dark and tingly, but he knew that despite that he was not Hikari's Yami.
"I-I don't want to go back. If I d-don't go, then people won't... stare," Hikari reasoned softly, frowning as he thought about the cruel eyes weighing down on him. Why did they have to be like that? The other experiments tended to stare, too, especially when they were new. Faceless always hid him, though, saying he was impervious to their curiosity and fear. Sometimes, he wondered what the stitched kitty-man meant by that.

Yugure let his hands fall to his sides with a sigh. Narrowing his visible eye at the boy, he wrinkled his brow with frustration. He turned around slowly and crossed his arms over his chest and looked over his shoulder.
"What is it about me that makes you repel like you do?", he asked politely in a neutral tone.
Drawing his attention to the carnival lights that shined above the trees of the park, Yugure held a heavy gaze for a few moments.

"You're the one who keeps... tickling me," Hikari insisted, having to think about which word fit best. The man's presence tingled and his touch made that stronger along with the fact that when he reached for Hikari, it was always for his most sensitive bits. Frowning, he wondered if Yugure even realized that.
Reaching up with his own hand, he touched one of his ears and his frown deepened as it remained still. Faceless hadn't really messed with his ears or tail, either, so he couldn't tell whether just anybody would make him twitch or if it was just that guy.

"Tick-Tickling you? I have not done that since we met. Wait, dont tell me that your that sensitive", Yugure shot back at the boy, "If your that easy to make uncomfortable then I'll just keep my hands to myself from now on. Deal?"
Yugure raised an eyebrow after he said this to the boy, but somehow he was able to keep a playful look on his face. Sadly he was serious when he said he would keep his hands to himself, but something inside him told him it was more than just his touch.

"Th-that's what it feels like. Even st-standing so close, you make me t-tingle all over," Hikari told him with a straight face, meaning every word. "I don't... know why." His tail swished across the ground evenly, touching the each boot in turn.
Another reason for not wanting to go back to the lighted place was that he'd have to stand with his coat closed, restricting his tail all over again. It was too uncomfortable to even contemplate, so if Yugure wanted to go over there he would have to go alone.

Yugure stifled a laugh as the boy began to confess the feelings he was having. That wasn't the first time he had heard something to that matter. A smile spread across his face as he stepped closer to the boy and looked him up and down.
"Sometimes the best things in life are those that you dont understand...", Yugure stated in a dark tone.
The sounds of instruments in the air began to echo in their direction signaling the start of the festivities.
"It sounds like they are about to begin the best part of the carnival tonight. Are you sure you wouldn't like to see the show? I can personally say that it is a sight to see. All the colors, the smells, even the tastes around you. They are all so mesmerizing. Its a shame you are not already trying to be a part of the spectacular event going on in the city. You really are missing out on something that happens once in a life time."
Yugure sighed to himself and turned around to look at the lights above the trees once more. It really did look magical.

Reaching behind himself, Hikari picked up the back of his coat before standing so that it wouldn't fall and trap his tail again. The bright lights
were
inviting, but light meant people and he didn't want to fall under their gazes again.
"Why would I agree to self-torment? Without my Y-Yami, everything is boring. Food, no matter how delicious, always tastes like ashes. Also, all those people will stare - stare and stare and stare - so why should I... why should I let them? I'm not a freak. Just... just leave me be," Hikari finished slowly, breathing hard from letting out all those emotions.
With one hand still on the back of his coat, he turned and fled from the man, believing that he would return to the carnival on his own. Such places were not suited to him, someone without proper clothes, money for frivolities, or the courage to ignore everything and do what he wanted despite it all.

As the boy began to explain his reasons of isolation, Yugure began to loose his smile inch by inch and by the time that the boy was done his face was set with a frown.
"Its a shame that you feel that way...I'll let you be now. Pleasure to have met you..."
Yugure's voice trailed off in an echo as his body faded out from view and into the shadows.

Stopping several yards from the fountain, Hikari looked back uncertainly. There was no one there now. Had he been talking to himself? His stomach rumbled again. No matter how bland the food tasted, he was still hungry.
For the first time, he missed Faceless and the easy companionship he brought with him no matter where he was. Despite all his stitches, he seemed to endure all the staring and pointing as if it wasn't happening. If only he were there, then mayhe he would come up with a way to get food or money to get food. Faceless was clever like that.
Not Kanashi Hikari, though, and that's all there was in the dreary park drenched in darkness.
Something growled.

Yugure slid through the shadows flying over branches and blades of grass until the only shadow he could glide through was that of a trashcan's nest to a "Pop-The-Balloon" game on the outskirts of the carnival. Taking physical form in the rubbish behind the booth, Yugure picked a few things off of his jacket that didn't need to be there and walked out from the back and into the light of the festivities. It seemed he was correct earlier when he mentioned the music signaling something grand.
Standing in front of him was a huge umbrella made of lights that covered over half of the carnival, the lines weaving here and there but always coming back to the center of it all; that being a massive pole that gathered all of the lights together at it's center. A core of energy. The source of the magic.
"If only you could have seen this. Im sure you would have liked it little one...", he said to himself but truly meant it to be heard by the boy from before.
He stood still for a few minutes and then turned around to walk back into the shadows to call the others.
